A marriage of Tenerife manages to last private shelter cats on the island. A home that since last year receives no public support.

The owners have had to mortgage his house for not closing the center.



July and Araceli, along with three volunteers, take forward this shelter which has from a kindergarten to a hospital.

Right now the shelter is home to 305 cats. Monthly maintenance exceeds 5,000 euros. A budget that is very uphill for this couple so they have decided to mortgage his apartment for 50,000 euros.

The collapse in the shelter have made not to accept more cats if owners do not undertake to cover their expenses.
